OF FISH IN MAN

“C’est pas l’homme qui prend la mer c’est la mer qui prend l’homme”

Man has relied on fishing since the beginning of civilisation. The development of fishing technology has always been intrinsically connected to societal growth and large population displacements around the globe.

After almost forty thousand years of practice we have now arrived at the point where global fish production continues to outpace world population growth. Be it for fun or as way to make a living hunting for fish is more alive then ever and the distinct ways it is done around the globe is a testament of human ingenuity.
